With around 14,000 inhabitants, the alpine town of Bludenz is the centre of five surrounding valleys, connecting nature, culture and city-life in a stimulating way. The alpine town is not only the ideal gateway for various sporting activities, but also a meeting place: markets, cafés, restaurants and not least the many different events attract visitors from all over the region.

As a member of Austria's small historic villages, the Alpine town within its gates and city walls houses a historic old town centre with numerous farm cottages, colourful arcades, cafés and restaurants.

In summer, the discerning guest can enjoy a holiday in an alpine surrounding with romantic small-town flair. Picturesque hikes are offered in the immediate vicinity of the historic old town, for example on the Montikel, Hoher Fraßen or the Bludenzer Hausberg. The special highlight is the scenic view from the Muttersberg sunny balcony. The central location in the middle of the five valleys, the Brandnertal, Klostertal, Great Walsertal, Walgau and Montafon invites guests to numerous excursions. The offer is rounded off by climbing on hanging rocks, swimming in the VAL BLU or mountain biking on single tracks.

In winter, Bludenz is the ideal gateway to exciting skiing days. From the alpine town, you can reach the Brandnertal, the Sonnenkopf peak in the Klostertal and the Montafon with the magnificent ski areas in just a few minutes by car. The biosphere reserve Großes Walsertal guests can enjoy relaxed skiing days, while the Arlberg massif, Austria’s largest ski area, awaits winter sports enthusiasts Austria with a top ski spectacle.
